In order for the legumes to last until the next harvest, they should be sorted. Discard any soft beans or any that are damaged. Then you can dry the product. Put it in glass or tin containersthat close tightly. You can also use fabric bags to store beans. But first they should be soaked in a saline solution and allowed to dry.

You can place it in a container with beans a few cloves of garlic or dill seeds. They will help repel pests with their scent. Beans should be stored in a veranda, pantry or on a glazed balcony.

  • To prevent bugs from appearing in the beans, you can leave them in the freezer. This is the most reliable way to store it.
  • To prevent pests from infesting legumes, heat them in the oven. Thanks to the high temperature, you will get rid of even those insects that are still at the larval stage. Then you cool the product and pour it into a suitable container.

If pests do infest beans, do not throw them in the trash. Eat two working methodsthat will help you get rid of them:

  1. Preheat the oven to 60 degrees. Warm the beans in it, spreading them on a baking sheet in one layer.
  2. Place the beans in the freezer for 3 days. It should have a temperature of 15 degrees below zero.

Regardless of the method you choose to remove bugs, do not forget about an important nuance. Jars and bags in which beans with pests were stored must be properly processed. This is necessary to prevent the reappearance of insects. Therefore, do not forget to wash the fabric bags and wash the jars thoroughly.
