Bulgur pilaf with chicken in a slow cooker

Bulgur pilaf with chicken in a slow cooker

Preparation description:

Pilaf according to this recipe is crumbly, appetizing, satisfying and very tasty! Such a pilaf is practically not inferior to the classic rice pilaf, and the slow cooker will do all the main work. I will cook with chicken, but you can use pork, beef, lamb or any other meat of your choice. The recipe is simple and fairly quick to make. Take note!

Prepare all ingredients. You can take any parts of the chicken, I have a drumstick. Rinse and pat dry the chicken first.

If you do not have a ready-made fillet, then before cooking pilaf, cut the meat with a sharp knife and cut into portions.

Pour oil into the multicooker bowl, set the “Frying” mode, put onions and carrots chopped at random and fry until soft.

Then add the chicken meat, stir and cook everything together for about 5 more minutes.

Add spices and salt to taste. Pour in boiling water. There should be enough water to just cover the meat. Set the “Extinguishing” mode and cook for 30 minutes.

Then add the head of garlic, peeled from the top husk.

Add the washed bulgur and smooth with a spatula.

Pour in boiling water so that the water covers the cereal by about 1.5-2 cm. Set the “Pilaf” mode and cook until the beep sounds.

Pilaf from bulgur with chicken in a slow cooker is ready. You can serve it immediately, but I recommend leaving the dish on the “Heating” mode for another 20-30 minutes.

Bon appetit!
