Quick sterilization of jars: step by step instructions
With alcohol
In order to prepare the jars for rolling, buy alcohol at the pharmacy. He will help you in this matter. First, thoroughly wash the jars and lids using baking soda. We rinse them well. Is all the water glass? Great! Let’s move on to disinfection. Pour a glass into the jar filled with alcohol, close it with a lid. Shake the container well for maximum processing. Then pour the alcohol into another jar. We repeat the same procedure until we have prepared all the containers.
Some housewives use instead of alcohol table vinegar. It should be noted that this method has a drawback. The smell of vinegar remains in jars for a long time. Therefore, containers disinfected in this way are not suitable for rolling jam or compote. To avoid this problem, it is better to use alcohol.

Using a microwave
If you do not have the opportunity to purchase alcohol, we advise you to sterilize the jars in another way (quite convenient). Pour a little water into the jars (it should be no more than 2 cm). We send the containers to the microwave. Set the maximum power. We start the microwave for 5 minutes. The water in the jars will begin to boil, and the inside of the containers will be covered with large drops. This is an indicator that everything is ready. We take out the jars from the microwave. We drain the water. We lay the containers upside down on a dry towel and let them dry.
Important! Remember that you can sterilize jars in the microwave, but not the lids.
