How to cook buckwheat: three ways

You can cook such porridge not only in a saucepan. Also suitable for this purpose multicooker and microwave oven. With their help, you can cook the most delicious porridge, which even children happily eat.

How to cook buckwheat correctly: 3 best ways

In a saucepan

Required ingredients:

  • 1 stack buckwheat
  • 2 stacks water
  • 50 g butter
  • 0.5 tsp. salt

Cooking method:

  1. We thoroughly wash the cereal under running water, removing all debris and low-quality kernels.
  2. Pour water into the pan. Bring it to a boil. Add washed buckwheat. After boiling, add salt. Reduce the heat to minimum.
  3. Cook the buckwheat for 10–15 minutes without stirring it. Then turn off the heating. Add butter to buckwheat. Mix well.
  4. Cover the pan with a lid. We wrap her in a towel. Leave on the stove for 15 minutes to infuse. The flavorful porridge is ready!

Microwave

Required ingredients:

  • 1 stack buckwheat
  • 2 stacks water
  • 30 g butter
  • salt to taste

Cooking method:

  1. We sort out the buckwheat. We rinse it thoroughly, getting rid of absolutely all impurities. Place the buckwheat in a deep ceramic or glass container.
  2. Fill the cereal with water. Add salt. Place the container in the microwave. We cover it with a special lid for such an oven. Cook the buckwheat for 5 minutes, setting the power to 1000 W.
  3. After the water boils, reduce the power to 600 W. Cook the porridge for 10 minutes. Then keep the buckwheat in the microwave for another 5 minutes and take it out.
  4. Add butter to the porridge. Mix well and serve the side dish to the table.

Important! When cooking buckwheat porridge in a microwave oven, do not use clay and aluminum dishes. It is also prohibited to take containers with gold-plated patterns for this purpose.

In a slow cooker

Required ingredients:

  • 1 stack buckwheat
  • 2 stacks water
  • 1 tbsp. l. butter
  • salt to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Wash the cereal thoroughly under running water. Let’s go through it. Place the buckwheat in the multicooker bowl. Pour in water at room temperature.
  2. Add salt and butter. Close the multicooker with a lid. Set the “Porridge” mode. Cook buckwheat for 30 minutes.
  3. Then we take it out. If desired, sprinkle buckwheat with chopped herbs. Ready!
