Lenten buckwheat porridge with prunes
Description of preparation:
Surprise your family with delicious porridge – lean buckwheat with prunes. They will love the taste of the dish from the first spoon! The main thing is not to add too many dried fruits so that they do not overwhelm the taste of the porridge itself. If desired, season the finished porridge with butter or sour cream.
Prepare the following ingredients. Buy prunes without pits; you can use any seasoning you wish.
Pour boiling water over the prunes for 5 minutes and then drain the water.
Pour buckwheat into a bowl and cover with cold water. Rinse several times, remove burnt grains and drain the water.
Cut the prunes into small cubes and add them with the cereal to a cauldron, saucepan or ladle with a non-stick bottom. Add salt and dried herbs.
Pour in boiling water and stir. Place the container on the stove and boil for 15 minutes over medium heat from the moment the water boils in the container.
Turn off the heat and let the porridge steam for 5-10 minutes. At this point you can add butter or vegetable oil.
Place the buckwheat and prunes on plates and serve hot.
