Who among us doesn’t love mashed potatoes with a cutlet and salted tomato? You can hardly refuse such a juicy vegetable snack in the cool season. Lightly salted tomatoes can be served both on weekdays and on a holiday table! The calculation of ingredients is indicated for a 1 liter container.

Prepare the following ingredients. Buy tomatoes at the market or pick them from your garden.

Rinse the tomatoes in water. Core or prick the vegetables in different places if you want to leave them whole. This must be done so that the brine quickly salts the middle of the tomatoes.

Fill a quart jar or food container (necessarily with a lid) with tomatoes. Don’t forget to insert the washed hot pepper. You can supplement the tomatoes with peeled garlic cloves (4-5 pieces), but this is optional.

Dissolve salt in cold water in a deep container.

Pour the brine into a jar or container to the top so that it completely covers the tomatoes. Screw the lid on the jar and store in a cool place. Preparation time: 1 month. If you store it in the refrigerator, the tomatoes will be ready within 1-1.5 months.

You can store lightly salted tomatoes for 6-7 months in a cold place, but remember that with each month they will become more salty.
