Farmer’s buckwheat

Preparation description:
If butter is replaced with vegetable oil, then this dish can be served on the table during fasting. Any mushrooms will do, I took frozen forest mushrooms and cooked without defrosting. If desired, sprinkle the finished buckwheat with finely chopped herbs or add your favorite spices.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making village-style buckwheat.

Wash the buckwheat thoroughly and fill it with water two centimeters above the level of the cereal. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Close the pot with a lid and lower the heat. Cook the cereal for 15-20 minutes, until cooked.

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, put butter, finely chopped onion and add chopped mushrooms. Fry everything over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring.

Put the finished buckwheat in the pan, mix and heat for 3-4 minutes.
