Prepare all ingredients.

Wash the peaches, then cover with hot water and leave for a couple of minutes.

Then dip them in cold water and remove the skin. Cut the peaches into slices, remove the pit.

Wash the lemon thoroughly, remove the zest and cut into thin strips. Squeeze out the juice from the lemon.

Sprinkle peaches with sugar, add zest and lemon juice. Stir and leave for half an hour to dissolve the sugar.

Transfer the peaches to a saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat and simmer for about an hour. Remove foam with a spoon.

Transfer the hot jam to a clean, sterilized jar.
