Rowan with sugar for the winter
Description of preparation:
The berries are best picked in late autumn, when they are fully ripe. If the berries are hard, you can freeze them or pour boiling water over them for a couple of minutes. This raw rowan jam should be stored in the refrigerator.
Prepare all the necessary ingredients to prepare rowan berries with sugar. Remove the berries from the branches and sort through, removing any spoiled ones. Wash the rowan and let it dry completely.
Grind the chokeberry using a meat grinder or blender.
Add sugar to the puree and stir. Place the jam over medium heat and cook until completely dissolved, remove. Place the jam in dry, sterilized jars and close tightly.
