Steamed rice in a slow cooker
Juicy steamed rice for cooking other dishes can be prepared using a slow cooker. You can add various spices and seasonings, fresh herbs, etc. The main thing to remember is that the rice has already absorbed some of the liquid and do not pour it into the bowl with a large amount of boiling water.
Prepare the indicated ingredients. Rice can be used in any variety, as well as seasoning.
Pour the rice into a deep bowl and cover with cold water. Rinse several times until the water runs clear.
Then drain the water and pour rice with boiling water, mix. Leave for 30 minutes. This can be done in advance before cooking the cereal.
During this time, the rice will swell and draw some of the liquid into itself. Drain the rest from the container.
Put the steamed rice in a slow cooker, pour in hot water and add salt and seasoning. Gently mix everything and activate the “Porridge” or “Cooking” mode for 10 minutes.
After the specified time, the rice will be completely boiled, but will remain crumbly.
Put it in plates or bowls and serve warm to the table. If desired, it can be used to make sushi, if you add a little sugar and rice vinegar.
