Preparation description:
Overripe, but not spoiled berries are suitable for jelly. Jelly is perfect for making pies, as a sauce for pancakes and donuts, as well as ice cream. If the jars are not closed with lids, but covered with parchment, then in a few months the jelly will turn into natural marmalade. Jelly should be stored in a dry and dark place.
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making strawberry jelly without gelatin.
Sort the berries, rinse and let dry completely, remove the tails. Place the strawberries in a heavy-bottomed pot or bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Leave the berries with sugar for 6 hours so that they release the juice.
Put the berries on a slow fire and bring to a boil. Boil the jam for 5 minutes, skimming off the foam. Remove from stove and leave for 30 minutes.
Punch the berries with a blender until smooth.
Return saucepan to low heat and bring to a boil. Boil the jelly for 35-40 minutes.
Arrange the jelly in dry sterilized jars, let cool completely and close tightly, put away for storage.
Happy preparations!
