The peak of a woman’s attractiveness
Several years ago, in an interview with a well-known publication, the French writer Yann Moix said that he was “incapable” of loving a woman who is 50 years old. It is worth noting that the figure himself turned 50 that same year. It is not surprising that his words caused a storm of indignation not only among ardent feminists, but also among ordinary women. And we in the editorial office involuntarily began to think about what age it falls on peak attractiveness women?
Agree, both women and men have the right to answer this question. Taking this into account, British scientists conducted a large-scale sociological study. They surveyed more than 2,000 male and female British residents. In short, respondents believe that the peak of female attractiveness occurs around 35 years old. Let’s figure out why exactly this age!
What does “peak attractiveness” mean and how to determine it
Residents of Foggy Albion are sure that 35 years is exactly the age at which a woman is at the peak of attractiveness. The British surveyed believe that upon reaching the age of 35, ladies should already be able to present themselves correctly, as well as be quite confident in themselves. As it turned out during the study, both of these qualities are key determinants of a woman’s attractiveness in the eyes of others.
It turns out that attractiveness is based not only on natural external data, but is also the result of working on oneself. Thus, sociologists have debunked the myth that young girls are a priori more attractive than older women. Of course, it is difficult to compete with the benefits of youth. But being older has its advantages.
The benefits of being 30
According to another study published in The Independent newspaper, it is after 30 that a woman’s body gains many advantages. Let’s start with the physiological ones:
- Peak bone mass growth occurs around age 30. It is at this age that your skeleton becomes the strongest and densest. You can keep your calcium and vitamin D intake high to prolong this condition.
- The peak of success for chess players is around 31 years old. Scientists wanted to know whether physical and intellectual skills work differently as people get older. That’s why they watched the grandmasters. After studying the results of 96 chess geniuses over their entire careers, scientists determined that, on average, athletes achieve their best results at the age of 31.
- You remember new faces best when you’re around 32 years old. People’s ability to quickly and accurately recognize the faces of strangers shown to them a second time in a laboratory test peaked at around age 32.
Benefits of being 35 and older
- Nobel Prize winners make their discoveries on average at 40 years of age. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the average age of Nobel Prize-winning research is 40 years old.
- Your understanding of other people’s emotions peaks at age 40. Scientists collected about 10,000 subjects. They showed them photographs of people and asked them to describe what emotions each person in the picture was feeling. Researchers have found that people in their 40s have a much stronger ability to correctly identify emotions.
- Arithmetic skills peak at age 50. Of course, we all learned multiplication tables in elementary school. But it turns out that 50-year-olds are best at answering arithmetic questions on the fly. Marvelous!
- Vocabulary skills peak in a person’s late 60s or early 70s. It turns out that people’s scores on multiple-choice vocabulary tests continue to rise even into their 60s and 70s. And you don’t need to sit and read a dictionary all day to do this. Although, of course, self-education has never harmed anyone
- Life satisfaction peaks at age 69. In the early 2000s, a study was published in Germany that showed that 23-year-olds were the most satisfied with their lives. After a decline in average age, life satisfaction peaks again at around age 69. What’s even more intriguing is that people over 60 are more satisfied with life than people aged 55 and older.
As you understand, our editors agreed that the attractiveness of a woman does not lie solely in external beauty. Other factors are also important: intelligence, upbringing, sense of humor, talents and communication skills. What else do you think makes a woman attractive? Share your ideas in the comments!
