Prepare all ingredients.
Wash the tomatoes and dry them. Remove the stems and cut into 4-6 pieces. Cut the bell peppers into medium-sized slices, remove the seeds and tail. Cut the onion into large cubes.
Grind the prepared vegetables through a meat grinder.
Pour the resulting mass into a saucepan with a thick bottom. Add salt and sugar, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for about 40 minutes. Add a bite at the end.
Pour the hot puree into a clean, sterilized jar. Seal the lid tightly and turn the jar upside down. Wrap in a towel and leave until completely cool.
