Venison in the oven
Description of preparation:
Venison is quite tough meat, so the cooking time is very long. But it’s worth it, because the meat will break down into fibers and become very soft. You can serve venison with any side dish or simply increase the amount of vegetables.
Prepare all the necessary ingredients to cook venison in the oven. Cut the meat across the grain into portions and soak in cold water for 4 hours. After a while, remove the meat, rinse and dry.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry over high heat on both sides until golden brown.
Place the venison in a greased baking dish. Peel the onions and cut into slices, peel and cut the carrots into slices. Add vegetables to the form with meat.
Salt, pepper and sprinkle everything with dry herbs. Pour boiling water into the mold.
Cover the pan with foil, place in a hot oven and bake at 180 degrees for two hours. Remove the foil and place the cut garlic cloves.
Recover the pan with the venison and bake for another 1-2 hours until tender. After a while, remove the finished meat and serve immediately.
Bon appetit!
