We paint eggs for Easter: simple ways and useful tips

Decorating Easter eggs is not only a tribute to tradition, but also an exciting activity that can captivate the whole family. There are a huge number of ways to make eggs truly festive and delightfully beautiful. It all depends on your imagination and creative skills.

Conventionally, two types can be distinguished: “lazy” and professional. The first is suitable for absolutely everyone, even for children. It includes painting eggs with improvised means, as well as decorating with simple decor.

Monochromatic painting

The easiest and most affordable way is to use natural dyes. The process is pretty simple:

  1. Boil hard boiled eggs;
  2. Prepare a concentrated decoction of the selected product with the addition of 1-2 tablespoons of table vinegar;
  3. Dip the eggs in the broth and leave until they get the shade you want.

Suitable for this method:

  • beets (to get eggs from pale pink to burgundy);
  • spinach (green);
  • carrots (orange);
  • hibiscus (bluish blue);
  • turmeric (yellow);
  • onion peel (brown);
  • parsley (pale green).

In addition, it can be food coloring that needs to be diluted in the right amount of water.

Creating simple drawings

Even if you do not have the skills of an artist, you can easily make original ornaments on Easter eggs.

Before painting, you can apply patterns with tape or electrical tape, and then carefully remove them.

Note: with electrical tape, you can separate part of the egg in order to paint it not in one, but in two colors, for example.

For the same method, aluminum foil, thick thread, green leaves or small dried flowers are suitable. You can fix them with glue or wrap each egg in nylon before cooking.

Another simple option is to use dyes on napkins, which will color the eggs in fancy patterns.

Already painted eggs can be lightly smeared with glue and sprinkled with small sparkles.

If you dilute a small amount of dye and dip a sponge into it, you can make eggs with the effect of streaks or splashes. But do not forget to wear gloves while working!

You can paint not only chicken, but also quail eggs. Their natural patterns will add even more uniqueness.

When there is a temporary tattoo of the appropriate subject at hand, do not be afraid to use it as well.

You can also decorate eggs using decoupage technique:

  1. Prepare napkins, carefully cut out the drawings.
  2. Separate the white of 1 raw egg into a small bowl.
  3. Boil the eggs, carefully remove, cool slightly and get to work while they are still warm.
  4. Coat the egg with protein, carefully glue the pattern from the napkin and secure with several layers of protein on top.

Making Easter masterpieces

If you are endowed with artistic talent and a subtle sense of taste, then feel free to start painting eggs by hand. You can take paints, markers or felt-tip pens and even nail polish.

You can create a festive composition with the help of improvised materials. Suitable:

  • buttons;
  • ruffles and threads;
  • beads;
  • confetti;
  • Gold leaf.

Eggs can be decorated with traditional ornaments or your favorite characters, from chickens to cartoon Minions.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and create your own little holiday masterpieces. Happy and warm Easter to you!
