Whole oat porridge
Description of preparation:
To make the porridge juicy and soaked, be sure to simmer it on low heat for a long time. Season the finished dish with butter so that it is absorbed into the oat grains. Serve the porridge warm with sausage, meat, chicken or pate.
Prepare the following ingredients.
Pour the oats into a deep container and fill with cold water. Rinse several times. Then fill with warm water and leave for half an hour so that the cereal swells slightly.
Pour the oats into a cauldron or pan with a non-stick bottom, add salt. You can add other herbs or spices if you wish. Fill with hot water and place on the stove. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer the porridge for 1 hour on minimal heat.
Be sure to stir occasionally to prevent the dish from burning.
Add butter, stir and cover the cauldron or pan with a towel. Let it sit for about half an hour so that the oats absorb the remaining liquid.
The finished porridge will be thick, viscous, dense.
Place the porridge in bowls or bowls and serve it warm.
